Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Texas. This role involves managing essential accounts payable functions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

Invoice Processing:

Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.

Payment Management:

Prepare and process payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers), ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.

Vendor Relations:

Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments. Maintain positive working relationships.

Reconciliation:

Reconcile vendor statements and accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Record Maintenance:

Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems, ensuring all supporting documentation is properly stored and readily accessible.

Reporting:

Assist in preparing monthly accounts payable reports, helping with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, including sales tax and general accounting principles.

Expense Management:

Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring they comply with company policies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience
  • SAP experience preferred but must have large ERP experience
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS required)
  • Excellent communication skills for maintaining positive relationships.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, standard business hours.

Competitive pay within the range of $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
